Modern vehicles must support connectivity services, automated and autonomous driving, shared mobility, and electric powertrains to meet sustainability guidelines and changing consumer preferences. Software is used to transform vehicle functions to meet these requirements and improve user experience, performance, functional safety, and cybersecurity. Nevertheless, increasing complexity is challenging the automotive and mobility industry.

With the increasing use of software in vehicles, also new risks emerge. A lot of attention must be paid to tackling new security issues ranging from breaches of privacy to threats to the physical safety of people in or around vehicles. Finland has a long tradition in ICT and a lively cybersecurity ecosystem that has a lot to offer for the mobility sector.

The event was a part of a virtual event series organized by AUTOSAR and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad in Bulgaria, Finland, and Romania. Each of the three events were focused on a different aspect of automotive software:

• Thursday, June 10^th: Finland – Automotive Software Development and Cybersecurity
• Thursday, June 17^th: Bulgaria – Automotive Software Development and Functional Safety
• Tuesday, June 29^th: Romania – Automotive Software Development for Future E/E System Architectures

All events were free of charge. Participate were able to attend one or all events they were interested in. The events were held in English.
